Founded in 2010, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Lucca brings together more than 80 musicians, 35% of whom come from Lucca and the rest from all over Tuscany. It is a real orchestral laboratory for young graduates from all the music institutes and conservatories in Tuscany, as they are inserted into the orchestral fabric and thus have the opportunity to demonstrate their worth. The Orchestra, which performs lyrical and symphonic repertoires, ranging from Johann Sebastian Bach to the scores of John Williams, has already produced 310 hours of television programs and more than 250 concerts in 11 years of existence under the direction of Andrea Colombini.
